The UK’s leading independent natural stone supplier Natural Paving Products (UK) Ltd has created a highly detailed resource for merchants, specifiers, homeowners and installers wanting to know more about natural stone paving including technical information, laying guides, aftercare and more.

The unique Understanding & Installing Natural Stone Paving guide is free to download from the Natural Paving Products’ website and is presented in an easy to understand format with helpful and inspirational imagery. For merchants the guide is the perfect sales support tool and can be used to help answer customers’ key questions. For specifiers, the booklet offers comprehensive guidance on stone choice, characteristics and properties such as water absorption, flexural strength and frost resistance, as well as ethical sourcing and ensuring all stone meets industry standards. For installers and DIY homeowners, the guide contains a raft of practical tips for installation and aftercare.

Amber Grace, Customer Service Manager at Natural Paving Products, commented: “We are committed to supporting the industry and offering the best customer service. The new guide is the latest example of this as we saw a gap in the market for such a booklet and used our knowledge and experience to deliver a one-stop-shop style guide that contains everything you need to know about natural stone paving. Everyone in the industry will benefit from reading it as they learn something new or are validated in their practices. Equally, customers and end users will find the booklet useful in maximising their use and enjoyment of natural stone landscaping products.”

Supported by industry experts Tony McCormack (the Paving Expert) and David Richardson (a Fellow of the Geological Society and past President of The Stone Federation) the content takes a holistic look at natural stone paving. Some of the topics covered in the new guide include the geology of natural stone, ethical choices, performance properties, installation methods, staining, salt damage, health and safety and cleaning to name but a few.

In addition to the new booklet, Natural Paving Products has launched a brand new look website to provide even easier access to its literature and products. With a modern feel, the new site offers efficient browsing of its range of individual installation guides and ‘How to’ videos to further support installers and merchants across its natural stone, Pavetuf and Vitripiazza porcelain paving ranges. Natural Paving Products also has complete end-to-end supply chain control from quarry to merchant to offer complete peace of mind and quality assurance to its customers.

“We had been thinking about doing our driveway and patio for a number of years. We knew it would be a big investment so we weren’t going to rush into it. Natural Paving were so helpful and provided suggestions, samples and recommended contractors. We finally decided to go ahead and have had both our patio and driveway done and the results are fantastic. We couldn’t be happier with the service and support.”
